Directions

Massage a small amount of HAIRY PONY NATURAL HORSE SHAMPOO into wet coat, mane or tail, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

    Yes, it’s specifically developed for sensitive skin and is pH balanced without harsh chemicals, parabens, or sulfates (which are common irritants). However, we always recommend performing a patch test before use.

    Is it suitable for all coat colours?

    Yes, it’s safe and effective for all coat colours.

    Do I need to use a conditioner afterwards?

    No conditioner necessary! Our shampoo is nourishing enough on its own. However, for extra hydration, you can add our essential oil coat conditioner to your shampoo bucket or apply it directly with your wash bay brush.

    How often can I wash my horse?

    Thanks to our shampoo's gentle formula, you can wash your horse as often as needed.

    Is it safe for other animals?

    While it’s formulated for horses, the gentle pH-balanced ingredients are generally safe for most four-legged pets. However, we always recommend a patch test, as every animal can react differently.

    Will it dry out my horse’s skin or strip the natural oil barrier?

    No. Our gentle, sulfate-free formula helps maintain your horse’s natural skin oils. Sulfates, which are found in many other shampoos, can strip the coat and dry the skin (but we don’t use them in our products).

    Is this eco-friendly?

    Yes. It’s made with natural ingredients, and the bottle is produced using rPET plastic (recycled PET), which helps reduce environmental impact.

    Will it help with stains (e.g. manure or grass)?

    Yes, it is effective on common stains. For stubborn stains or brightening white coats, we recommend using our purple shampoo for even better results.

    Yes, it contains no prohibited substances and is safe for use in competition settings.

    Best Shampoo!

    This is the best shampoo for beautiful soft coats, especially in winter when they need a good quality shampoo to condition and hydrate their dry and dull coats. And it also smells amazing! Thank you HP for making the best products for our horses as they keep them looking fantastic, healthy and shiny whether they are at home or out competing 💗

    Best shampoo!

    I was constantly trying to find shampoos for my horses that make them shiner, clean, and not itchy! This shampoo does all of it! after one bath with it I could tell a difference with how my horses skin was much more moisturized! A little bit of the shampoo goes a long way! I also love that it suds, as before I couldn’t find shampoos that did easy and gave the benefits I wanted. I don’t think I’ll ever need a different shampoo!

    Great balance of clean and gentle

    Bought a smaller bottle as a test run. This surpassed my expectations! My horse was left clean and shiny, and her coat still felt hydrated. I find that USA products are so drying, and I’m needing to add more products to bathing routine to rehydrate. Will continue ordering this shampoo as it will be my main product from now on.
