Renewing the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor with the Plant-a-Tree Program
Hairy Pony is proud to partner with Carbon Neutral’s Plant-a-Tree Program, helping to revegetate & renew the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor in Western Australia. The Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project aims to combat deforestation, promote biodiversity of flora & fauna, and mitigate climate change through strategic tree planting efforts.
As part of our greener future vision, Hairy Pony is dedicated to supporting Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project - for every litre of Australian Summer Essential Oil Coat Conditioner sold, we have one Australian native tree or shrub planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor.
The Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project is situated in Western Australia's northern Wheatbelt, an area historically subjected to extensive land clearing for agricultural purposes. The goal of the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project is to create a 200km long green corridor, from inland all the way to the coast, reconnecting remnant vegetation, with 12 nature reserves across a 50,000km2 area.
Since the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor Project began in 2008, over 30 million native trees & shrubs have been planted across over 18,000 hectares, and in 2023 the project expanded to nearly 21,000 hectares.
